Project Overview

I wanted to create the LinkedIn version of Instagram, for people who have a strong interest in photography and can share more details about their process, methods, scenes, etc. with other like-minded individuals. This app has similar features to Instagram, but has a stronger focal point on creative and professional descriptions.

Design Process

  • Studied the user flow and design of popular image apps
  • Created low fidelity sketches, user flows, and prototypes
  • Took key elements (explore, like features, and navigation bar) and redesigned them
  • Built a high fidelity prototype with the basic layout and components on Figma
  • Imported images from the Unsplash plugin on Figma
  • Added animated interactions between each page, based on the functionalities

    Project Overview

The Tampa, FL Virtual Guide app came as an inspiration after looking at the city's current website. I wanted to add a modern feel to the site and give users a more immersive experience when they first enter the webpage. I created design concepts from my parallax research for a previous web app project, and implemented a simplistic design to balance out the animations.

    Design Process

  • Research and studied parallax concepts/ideas
  • Created color pallets, picked the typography, and a user flow diagram
  • Gather images of Tampa, Florida from Unsplash
  • Built a high fidelity prototype using Figma
  • Imported images from the Unsplash plugin on Figma
  • Added animated interactions between each page

    Project Overview

A web application created during the beginning of Covid-19, allowing people to share and sell dishes they cook with their community.

When it cam to the design, we wanted the app to have a modern and food based vibe. I researched UberEats, Doordash, GrubHub, and Postmates and used their UX/UI as a reference. I implemented images, background images, and animations that had an upbeat feel similar to the other food delivery apps, but had more of a "home cooked meal" vibe. These included (but not limited to) a kitchen background image, home cooked dishes, and cooking pan animation.

    Design Process

  • Collaborated ideas with teammates, focusing on the purpose of the app, style we wanted to go for, and the demographic we want to make it for
  • Researched other food delivery sites (UberEats, Doordash, GrubHub, and Postmates to use as references
  • Created a low fidelity prototype to present to the team and collected images and animations from Lottie Files and royalty free stock photos
  • Created a high fidelity mockup using HTML and CSS in VS Code.
  • Coded the front-end and implemented the designs!
